According to the penetration resistance test similar to EN374 Part 2, evaluate tests for non porosity and evaluate the mechanical strength of glove size and materials, including tests before and after aging.

EN 455 was initially written to support the Medical Device City Directive, but due to various amendments allowing CE certification to label products as medical devices and PPE, the recent version of EN 455's attachment ZAS also mentions the PPE Directive

Part 1

EN455-1 covers the requirements and testing of gloves to avoid perforation. Therefore, this standard adopts AQL statistical sampling technology based on batch production scale for leak testing Part 2

EN 455-2 covers the requirements and testing of physical properties, such as size (length and width) and fracture force, whether before or after thermal aging. Part 3

EN 455-3 covers the requirements and testing for biological assessment

This section of the standard includes testing procedures for endotoxin contamination in sterile gloves, powder residue in powder free gloves, and leachable proteins in natural latex gloves. Part 4

Requirements and testing covering shelf life determination.

This section of the standard covers the protocols that should be followed to evaluate the shelf life of gloves using real-time research or appropriately validated alternatives.

CE certification for protective gloves:

Gloves can be used to protect hands and forearms from cuts, abrasions, burns, cold, punctures, vibrations, skin contact with hazardous chemicals, and some electric shocks. The nature of the danger, associated risks, and types of operations involved will affect the selection of gloves, so it is necessary to choose gloves that are suitable for specific applications

Gloves. Gloves designed to prevent one danger may not be able to prevent another danger, even if they may look similar. To support this widespread application, CEN (European Standards Institute) has developed a series of standards.
